The child starts his day with free play or art exploration. A morning circle gathers the children and teachers for greetings, songs and sharing; followed by outdoor playtime. A healthy snack welcomes the children when they return. After washing up, the children gather into small groups for the day's activities: art & craft, music & movement, storytime, phonics, sensorial and practical life exercises, language, maths or thematic activities. A closing circle brings the children to the end of school day and it is time to go home after yet another happy day. |
Thematic Integrated LearningA holistic way of learning that reflects the real world, whereby different areas of the curriculum are connected together and integrated within a theme. Learning is more natural and interactive as children are able to have fun, more actively involved and develop learning skills more quickly as each one is connected to and reinforced by the other.
The thematic units that we have carefully selected revolves around the natural wonder of children and interests about the world around them. Here are some examples of the thematic units that we have explored: Five senses . My Favourite Food . Pet Animals . Under the Sea . Things that Go . Community Helpers . Sports . In the Garden .
